Concert Dress Code
 

​Gentlemen: black pants, black dress shirt, black socks, and black shoes (no sneakers or tie).

Ladies: long black dress, skirt or nice slacks and a black shirt, black stockings, black shoes (no sneakers).

Attendance Policy

SYS musicians are expected to attend all rehearsals. Attendance is very important because the Music Director plans each rehearsal based on full attendance. The Saratoga Youth Symphony's program is designed to provide a high quality learning experience for each musician, and therefore, we rely on everyone's commitment, cooperation and full participation to ensure an exciting and productive year. Attendance at the dress rehearsal prior to the concert, and the concert, is required of all musicians.

Absence Procedure

It is understood that scheduling conflicts may arise, and therefore we request that musicians miss no more than two rehearsals per concert for a total of four rehearsals for the year. If an absence is necessary from the rehearsal immediatley prior to a performance, such request is to be made at least two weeks in advance so that the Music Director can be prepared.
