The Wind Symphony is open to wind, brass and percussion students who play at a NYSSMA level 3 or higher. Selection in the Wind Symphony is determined through auditions held each June and throughout the summer. In partnership with the Saratoga Youth Symphony, the Wind Symphony provides a non-competitive and outstanding musical experience for talented young musicians ages 18 and under. 

 

Under the leadership of the Saratoga Youth Symphony's conductor, Joshua Thompson, the repertoire spans from the Middle Ages to the most refined 21st Century Music.  The Wind Symphony is dedicated to creating lifelong musical memories.

The season includes weekly rehearsals, sectionals and three performances. Rehearsals are from 4:45 - 6:15 on Sunday afternoons.
