The Youth Symphony is a full symphonic orchestra composed of approximately 65 outstanding players who demonstrate strong musicianship and an advanced technical level of playing. Auditions are open to high school seniors or younger who play at a NYSSMA level 5 or 6. The Youth Symphony performs a wide range of orchestral repertoire led by Music Director Joshua Thompson.

The season includes weekly rehearsals, sectionals and three performances. Rehearsals are from 6:45 pm - 8:30 pm on Sunday evenings.
